Nirvana was an American rock band that was formed by singer/guitarist Kurt Cobain. Nirvana went through a succession of drummers, the longest-lasting being Dave Grohl, who joined the band in 1990. With the lead single "Smells Like Teen Spirit" from the group's second album Nevermind (1991), Nirvana entered into the mainstream, bringing along with it a subgenre of alternative rock called grunge. As Nirvana's leader, Kurt Cobain found himself referred to in the media as the "spokesman of a generation", with Nirvana the "flagship band" of "Generation X". Something happened on April 8, 1994, Cobain’s body was found in his home in Seattle. The cause of death was determined to be suicide from a shotgun blast to the head. It had not been Cobain’s first suicide attempt, but the news of his death nevertheless was a shock to his many fans.

My personal opinion:
Standout tracks in addition to the first six, all of which were hit singles, are "On A Plain" and "Something In The Way's" acoustic strumming. One of the greatest albums of the 90's is "Nevermind", if you don't believe what I just said... never mind!. You may think Nirvana is getting a bit old now and the sound too cliché, but try to listen from a perspective when all this was new to the scene and you will feel the truly groundbreaking effect on you it was meant to have. Nirvana were just that damn good, try you listened it first about Dave Grohl's drumming skill. He is superb!. Ok don't forget back to 90's, download and enjoy it now.
